Strategic relationship are central to achieving CEPNZ’s goals. By working alongside other exercise organisations, we strengthen our collective impact and reinforce the vital role of clinical exercise rehabilitation in improving health and performance across Aotearoa New Zealand.

These collaborations extend our reach, enhance the support we provide to our members, and positively influence the communities they serve. Together, we are creating a strong, connected network that drives progress and delivers meaningful outcomes.

INTERNATIONAL QUALIFICATION PATHWAYS FOR CLINICAL EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGISTS

As part of our collaboration with the International Confederation of Sport and Exercise Science Practice (ICSESP), we are pleased to share a new resource designed to support graduates and practitioners seeking international recognition in clinical exercise physiology.

The ICSESP webpage, International Clinical Exercise Physiology Qualification Opportunities, provides clear guidance on how members can pursue accreditation, certification, or registration across five leading national associations:

  • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)

  • Clinical Exercise Physiology UK (CEP-UK)

  • Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP)

  • Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)

  • Clinical Exercise Physiology New Zealand (CEPNZ)

This initiative strengthens career mobility, promotes alignment with international standards, and supports the global advancement of clinical exercise physiology practice.

CEPNZ also recognises the Biokinetics Association of South Africa (BASA)
