STUDY OPTIONS

Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologists hold a bachelor's degree in science plus either a one year postgraduate diploma or a two year Master's degree in clinical exercise physiology. Both postgraduate programmes include extensive practical clinical training. Qualifications must be awarded by a government approved tertiary education institution. Applicants may hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) however they must have a level of knowledge and clinical training in clinical exercise physiology that meets the competencies detailed in the CEPNZ Standards.

Regardless of academic pathway, applicants must accumulate at least 500 hours of supervised clinical training.
