STUDY OPTIONS
To qualify for professional membership with CEPNZ, applicants must hold tertiary qualifications equivalent to at least four years of full-time study with a specific major in clinical exercise physiology.
Usually this is a Bachelors degree in Exercise and/or Sport Science with a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Exercise Physiology.

How to choose an academic programme?
For the streamlined Accredited Programme Pathway, candidates must be recent graduates (within 24 months) of a program externally accredited by ESSA or CAAHEP.
Under the Alternate Pathway, which caters to those from non-accredited programs or those who graduated more than two years ago, CEPNZ expresses a preference for postgraduate training, such as a bachelor’s degree in exercise science followed by a postgraduate qualification in clinical exercise physiology.
All applicants must demonstrate that their academic background provides extensive training in the assessment, prescription, and delivery of therapeutic exercise across a broad range of clinical populations, aligned with the CEPNZ Standards expected of Clinical Exercise Physiologists.
CEPNZ is not responsible in any way for the academic content or quality of the programmes listed below.
