Making sense of AI in clinical Health Care

Dr Sarah Manig is a physiotherapist, researcher, and healthcare advocate with over 10 years of experience across clinical practice, sports rehabilitation, and service development in South Africa and New Zealand.

Alongside her clinical work, she completed a PhD focused on health systems, rehabilitation, and improving care in real-world settings. Following a concussion in 2025, her experience using Heidi sparked a strong interest in how AI can support clinicians by reducing documentation burden, protecting clinician time, and enhancing workflow without losing the human side of care.

Sarah now works as Client Partner for Allied Health and Veterinary at Hendrix Health, Heidi’s implementation partner in New Zealand, supporting healthcare teams across Aotearoa with the practical and ethical integration of AI into clinical practice.
