INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION PATHWAY

To encourage reciprocity with Clinical Exercise Physiology professional bodies in other countries the following certifications, accreditations, or registrations may be provided as additional evidence that an individual possesses competencies equivalent to those required for CEPNZ registration.

• Exercise & Sports Science Australia - Accredited Exercise Physiologist (ESSA-AEP)

• Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology - Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP)

• Amercian College of Sports Medicine - Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-RCEP)

• American College of Sports Medicine - Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP)

• British Association for Sport and Exercise Science - Certified Exercise Practitioner (CEP)

• Biokinetic Association of South Africa - Certified Biokineticist (BK), Health Professions Council of South Africa

Applicants with the above mentioned backgrounds seeking registration in New Zealand must provide supporting documentation to enable the CEPNZ Board to assess their background and qualifications.

The CEPNZ Board may decide to interview the applicant or ask the applicant to sit the CEPNZ Competency Examination
